Unguarded Heart

I let you get close to my heart,

and what did you do....you broke it in two.

You begged me to trust you,

and I was afraid to let you near,

because getting hurt was one of my greatest fears.

I opened my heart to you,

and you promied to be true....

you swore you were different, so I trusted you.

I gave you my heart,

but all you did was tear it apart.

Don't think that you will ever come back into my life,

because you have caused way to much pain and strife,

the pain you have caused still cuts like a knife.

How could you take my heart and soul, and crush it like you did,

how can I ever forgive?
